Privacy policy

Verto Digital (ABN 71 976 380 036) is my AI-powered marketing studio on the Gold Coast, Queensland. It is just me, Jarrah Cairney, and I handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Privacy questions go to jarrah@vertodigital.com.au. You deal with a person, not a form letter.

When you send an enquiry, I collect what you give me: your name and email, and (if you choose to share them) your business name, website, phone number, what you need help with, and your message.

I also capture basic context with the enquiry so I can respond usefully: the page you submitted from, how you found me (referrer and campaign tags), and an anonymous analytics identifier.

Two kinds of measurement run on this site. Vercel Analytics is always on and entirely cookieless: it tells me page counts, nothing about you. Google Analytics 4 (loaded through Google Tag Manager) helps me understand how the site gets used, and it sets analytics cookies to do that. I also use Google Ads conversion measurement, so if you arrive from one of my ads and send an enquiry, Google records that the ad led to an enquiry.

These cookies are set when the page loads, without a consent prompt. Australian privacy law asks for transparency about tracking, and this page is that disclosure. I use the data to run the site and my own advertising, never to sell or trade anything about you.

You can opt out at any time: block or clear cookies for this site in your browser settings, add the Google Analytics opt-out browser extension (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), or control how Google uses ad data in your Google ad settings (myadcenter.google.com). Google explains how it handles data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

I use enquiry details to respond to you, run intro calls, and propose the right next step. If you ticked the box for the fortnightly email, I send you that. Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and leaving the box unticked was never a condition of talking to me.

I do not sell, rent or trade your information. Ever.

The site is hosted on Vercel. Analytics are processed by Google (Tag Manager and Analytics 4). When you send an enquiry, it is routed through my automation tool (n8n), stored in my CRM (Notion), and triggers a notification to me and a confirmation email to you. Some of these providers process or store data outside Australia, including in the United States. I use reputable services with strong security practices and take reasonable steps to protect what you share.

You can ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email jarrah@vertodigital.com.au and I will sort it out promptly.

If you are unhappy with how I handled your information, tell me first so I can fix it. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

If I change how I handle personal information, I update this page and the date below it. Significant changes get called out, not buried.
